The sliding method assembles steel structural units by pre-assembling them on the ground or in a low altitude position, and then utilizes sliding equipment to horizontally skid them to the designed position, and finally connects and fixes them. This method is suitable for site constraints or large spans, and it reduces the use of lifting equipment and lowers costs. It is suitable for structures with uniform size on the plane, in the shape of a long bar, with a more regular column network, or with consistent curvature and not too high height, which effectively solves the problems of insufficient crane arm length and insufficient lifting capacity. However, the construction precision requirements are high, and the sliding process needs to be strictly controlled.

Installation requirements of the sliding track

1. The surface of the sliding track beam should be horizontal;

2. The splicing position of channel steel should ensure its flatness and there should be no height difference;

3. The centerline of the sliding beam and the offset of the sliding centerline should be controlled within 10mm;

4. The upper surface of the steel slider and sliding beam should be lubricated with grease before sliding.

 the slide-side block installation requirements

Slideway side block plays a direct resistance to the top thrust reaction force and the role of slip precision control, so in the installation process should pay attention to the following aspects:

1.  To ensure that there is enough contact surface between the chute side block and the jacking support, the setup form of the chute side block should be installed in strict accordance with the design type of the drawing;

2. The height of the weld between the chute side block and the sliding beam should meet the design requirements to meet the use requirements for resisting the top thrust reaction force;

3. The starting installation position of the side block on all the sliding beams should be at the same axial position, and the starting point at each axial position, to reduce the cumulative error of installation and meet the requirements of sliding synchronization;

4. The installation error of the side blocks on both sides of the same sliding beam should be less than 1mm, and the spacing error of the side blocks of the neighboring slideway should be less than 3mm;

Welding is strictly prohibited in front of the side blocks (in the forward direction of the slip).
