Points for wind-resistant design of tensile membrane structure in typhoon
1、Load application in multiple wind direction angles.
Membrane structure shape is variable, the most unfavorable wind angle may exist more than one. Therefore, when applying wind load, it should take multiple wind directions and body shape coefficients, so that the wind load can be considered as much as possible. For example, the same wind direction in the video is not the most unfavorable for the left membrane structure, but for the right membrane structure, it is the most unfavorable wind direction.
2、Reliable connection between the ridge cable and the membrane surface.
The spine cable is below the membrane surface, when the wind direction is in the video, the spine cable of the left membrane structure plays a reinforcing role for the membrane surface; however, when the right membrane structure is in this wind direction, the spine cable is detached from the membrane surface, and the spine cable can not play a role, and the wind load is all borne by the membrane material. Therefore, when only relying on the strength of the membrane material can not meet the requirements, the design of the cable sleeve or cable clamp, so that the cable and the membrane surface can work together to resist the external load.
3、 the setting of the membrane surface outside the cable.
In extreme cases, the membrane surface may be damaged. Therefore, in the design of membrane structure, the membrane surface should be set up in the tension cable to ensure that when the membrane surface is destroyed as shown in the video, the steel structure will not collapse and cause more losses.
