The Dalian 66 Plaza Project is located in the core commercial area of Dalian. It is the largest single commercial building in the Northeast with international standards. The steel structure engineering design is novel and unique, adopting the shape of Tai Chi double carp, incorporating Chinese traditional culture and modern conceptual element design. The project has won many international architectural design awards such as the best retail building project in the Asia-Pacific region, and won the “Luban Award” in 2016. The plane adopts arc-shaped axis design, and 2560 arcs diffracted from 21 circle centers form an intersection space frame control system. The column networks of each layer are changed and arranged according to the function of the floor. There is no standard floor on the upper and lower floors, and the spatial positioning is difficult. The beams and columns are mostly steel-concrete composite members. The plane is arranged at any angle along the arc axis in multiple directions. A single frame column can meet up to 7 frame beams in multiple directions. It is difficult to handle the joints of the beam and column and install the steel bars.
The spatially graded steel truss roof has a complex structure. The maximum unsupported grade span is 71.2 meters, and the maximum height is 54.6 meters from the ground. The grade-fall connection stiffness is large and the suspension is varied, and the spatial positioning and installation are difficult. Straight waterfall-type inverted L-shaped steel grille, 60 meters high from the ground, the largest component size is 83.2 meters (horizontal 42m+vertical 41.2m), adopting the design of hanging supports at both ends, the side elevations are uniformly inclined outwards, and there is no middle inflection point Support to ensure the stability of the high-altitude assembly process of hyperbolic super-long components is the focus of project implementation.
The facade is composed of 11 types of wall systems such as fish scale curtain walls, glass display windows, and full glass curtain walls. The overall facade is tortuous and smooth. The processing of various types of materials and the installation and positioning requirements of secondary structures are high, and the connection and alignment between different wall types It is difficult to deal with.
The project developed a large-span spatial drop-grade steel truss cantilever unsupported installation technology for a continuous truss with a unit weight of 260 tons, a height of 54.6 meters above the ground and a span of 71.2 meters. The problem of continuous steel truss roof construction in high-altitude and large-span spaces has been solved, and the technology has reached the international leading level.
