3.Space frame assembly

   Space frame assembly can be done by ground assembly or overhead assembly. Ground assembly is suitable for small gas station racks or site conditions allow the case, assembled according to the design drawings of the rods and nodes on the ground gradually assembled into a number of rack units. Aerial assembly is to directly transport the rods and nodes to the design position for assembly, applicable to large-scale space frame or site restrictions.

   In the assembly process, the installation order and angle of the rods should be strictly controlled to ensure that the nodes are firmly connected. Temporary support measures are used to ensure the stability of the space frame in the assembly process, such as setting up full-tower scaffolding or setting up temporary pillars in key areas. For the nodes connected by bolts, tighten the bolts according to the specified torque value.For the nodes connected by welding, the welding operation should be carried out by professional welders to ensure that the quality of weld meets the design requirements, such as the height of weld, the length of weld, and the appearance of weld molding.

4.Lifting and positioning of space frame

   When the space frame assembly is completed, the crane and other equipment will be used to lift the space frame to the design height and in place. During the lifting process, a detailed lifting program should be formulated, including lifting sequence, lifting speed, lifting force calculation, etc. Set multiple lifting points to ensure that the mesh frame is lifted to the designed height. Set up multiple lifting points to ensure uniform force during lifting to avoid deformation or distortion.

   When the space frame is lifted to a height close to the design height, carry out precise in-situ adjustment. Measure and correct the axial position, horizontality, verticality, etc. of the net frame by means of measuring instruments such as latitude and longitude meter, level meter, etc., so as to make the space frame accurately and correctly installed on the foundation. After in position, fix the connection parts of the net frame and foundation in time, such as welding or pouring concrete connection.

5.Installation quality check and acceptance

   After the installation of the space frame is completed, carry out comprehensive quality inspection and acceptance. The inspection includes the overall size deviation of the net frame (such as span, height deviation), the axis deviation of the rod, the node connection quality (bolt tightening, weld quality review), the surface coating quality (whether there is any leakage of coating, whether the thickness of the coating is in line with the requirements), etc. The non-destructive testing techniques (such as ultrasonic testing) are used.

   Non-destructive testing techniques (such as ultrasonic flaw detection, magnetic particle flaw detection, etc.) are used to carry out random inspection of welds in key areas to ensure reliable welding quality. The quality problems found in the inspection and timely rectification, rectification is completed again after acceptance, until the quality of net frame installation in full compliance with the design and specification requirements.

Third, the installation process of safety measures

1.Safety of work at height

   Installation workers must wear safety belts, helmets and other safety protection equipment correctly when working at height. The safety belt should be hung high and used low, and the fixing point should be firm and reliable. Set up safety channel and operation platform on the net frame, and the platform should be full of scaffolding boards and set up protective railings.

   For example, in the process of assembling net frame, for the part of overhead work surface more than 2m, a scaffolding platform in line with the safety standard must be built, and the spacing of scaffolding poles and cross poles should be in line with the regulations, and scissor braces should be set up reasonably, so as to prevent the scaffolding from collapsing.

2.Safety of lifting operation

   The selection of crane should be determined according to the weight, span, lifting height and other parameters of the space frame to ensure that the lifting capacity of the crane meets the requirements. Crane operators must be licensed and operate in strict accordance with the operating procedures.

   In the process of lifting the space frame, the crane spreader, rigging to check to ensure its safety and reliability. Set up a person to direct the lifting operation, the command signal should be clear and uniform, to avoid accidents caused by improper command. For example, when lifting the net frame, check whether the hook has an anti-dislodgement device and whether the wire rope is worn out beyond the standard.

3.Electrical safety

   The electrical equipment on the construction site should meet the requirements for safe electricity use and set up leakage protection devices. The shell of the welding machine and other equipment should be well grounded, and wires and cables should be laid overhead or buried to avoid dragging the ground or being crushed.

   For example, in the mesh welding operation, the length of the primary line of the welding machine should not exceed 5m, and the length of the secondary line should not exceed 30m, and the joints should be solid, to prevent electric shock or fire accidents caused by the failure of the electrical line.

4.Fire safety

   The construction site should be equipped with obvious fire warning signs and sufficient fire extinguishing equipment, such as dry powder fire extinguishers and carbon dioxide fire extinguishers. In the process of net frame installation, especially welding operation, fire prevention measures should be taken, such as removing the surrounding flammable materials, setting up fire prevention baffles, and so on.

   For example, in the gas station space frame installation site, for the ground below the welding operation, should be cleaned up oil, weeds and other flammable materials, and laying fireproof asbestos cloth, to prevent welding sparks cause fire.

The installation of gas station grid is a complex and delicate project, which requires strict control from the preliminary preparation, installation process to safety measures, etc., in order to ensure the installation quality and construction safety, so that the gas station grid can be stable and reliable in the future operation to play its important role in supporting the energy supply.
