Analysis of light steel space frame structure:

       Lightweight steel space frame is light weight, high strength, good overall rigidity and strong deformation ability. The self-weight of the building is only one-fifth of that of the brick-concrete structure, and it can resist hurricane winds of 70 meters per second, so that life and property can be effectively protected. The residential structure is composed of cold-formed thin-walled steel components, and the steel skeleton is made of super anticorrosive high-strength cold-rolled galvanized sheet, which effectively avoids the influence of rust and corrosion of the steel plate in the process of construction and use, and increases the service life of the lightweight steel components. The service life of the structure can reach 100 years.

       The thermal insulation material used for light steel space frame is mainly glass fiber cotton, which has good thermal insulation effect. It is used in the thermal insulation board of the outer wall, which can effectively avoid the phenomenon of “cold bridge” of the wall, and achieve better thermal insulation effect. 100mm thick R15 thermal insulation cotton thermal resistance value can be equivalent to 1m thick brick wall. Advantages in building use:

1.High material strength   

     Although the capacity weight of the space frame is larger, but the strength is much higher, compared with other building materials, steel has the smallest ratio of capacity weight to yield point. Under the same loading conditions, the self-weight of the structure is often smaller when using space frame. When the span and load is the same, the weight of the steel roof frame is only 1/4-1/2 of the weight of the reinforced concrete roof frame, and it is even lighter if it is made of thin-walled steel roof frame. Due to the lighter weight, it is easy to be transported and installed, therefore, it is especially suitable for the structure with large span, high height and large load, and also suitable for the structure which is movable and easy to be mounted and dismounted.

2.Space frame house is safe and reliable

   Steel texture is uniform, each direction, the modulus of elasticity, good plasticity and toughness, for the ideal elastic-plastic body, more in line with the concept of isotropic body as the basis for calculation. Therefore, the space frame calculation is accurate, high reliability, suitable for buildings of special importance.  

3.Space frame project of industrialized production degree is high   

     Although the manufacture of space frame needs more complicated mechanical equipment and strict process requirements, but compared with other building structures, the highest degree of industrialized production of space frame, can be batch mass production, manufacturing bowl degree is high, the use of factory manufacturing, site installation of construction methods, can shorten the cycle, reduce the cost, and improve economic efficiency.  

4.Better sealing   

     As the welded structure can be completely sealed, some of the requirements of airtight and watertight high-pressure containers, large oil tanks, gas tanks, pipelines and other plate and shell structure are suitable for the use of space frame.  

5.It has certain heat resistance   

     Temperature within 250 ℃, the nature of the steel change is very small, the temperature reaches 30 ℃, the strength gradually decline, to 450-650 ℃, the strength of zero. Therefore, the fire resistance of the space frame is worse than reinforced concrete, generally used for temperatures not higher than 250 ℃ occasions. In its own special fire requirements of the building, the space frame must be maintained with fire-resistant materials.
